I made this print for Scott, of his catson, Quinn. Quinny is basically a cat model and it was fun to carve this.

Last winter, I did Scott Minzy's Relief Conspiracy again and it was just what I needed to make some sense of time. Totally recommended!
In the summer of 2017, I attended a woodcut printmaking class at Haystack. I love carving wood blocks, and it was super exciting to study with David Wolfe. As a class, we worked on making a full set of letters, each in our own style. I made E, R, and X. This one came first. It is inspired by a marigold growing on campus, as well as by the Rubber Soul album cover that I obsessed over as a middle schooler. R was my foray into two color printing. It was quite the job to get the colors to even semi-register. I still love it, though. Inspired by another flower on campus, though I can't remember what type. The X was a while coming, as I remember. It is on a background of dandilion.
